Need an alternative to soap for non-slip surface

My boat is slipped on Lake that has banned all use of soaps on the water – period. I can figure our how to keep the smooth part of the gel coat clean without getting soap in the water, but the non-slip surface is getting dirtier.

I've tried using a hard bristle brush and water with marginal results.

Is there an environmentally friendly concoction I can use that will assist in cleaning the non-slip surface and that is not a ‘soap' or ‘detergent'?

I was thinking of vinegar or something similar that would help in dislodging the dirt.

I use acetone and a rag. It doesn't have to be w3ashed off, it evaporates. I never wax those areas.
 
Try baking soda ( Arm & Hammer ). Vinegar might be useful.

Zud and Barkeepers friend use oxalic acid as a main ingredient, I have no idea if that would be construed as legal, however.

Windex? Ammonia?
 
I have one of those cheapo power washers (I think it's like 1400 PSI), and that cleans up my non-skid areas like magic, no soap. Does a nice job on my vinyl, too.
 
Star Brite Non Skid Deck cleaner. Works great and won't hurt the water.
 
I second Star Brite then I use Woody Wax or Aurora sure step to keep waxed and clean
 
I have used Windex, ammonia and Star Brite deck cleaners before and all work well. The problem is they all smell and cause bubbles when the liquid drains into the water. If my neighbors or worse yet, the water police see that I’ll be fined big bucks and tar and feathered! Pollution is taken very seriously at this lake.

I was really hoping someone may have a home brew that works and doesn’t cause my slip neighbors to accuse me of polluting. Pixi- (dust) grease? Magic water? Lemon juice?

Acetone may be too aggressive, but the power washer may work. I can use it in the middle of the lake powered by my genset. That’s a thought….
I'll be sure to follow it up with Aurora Sure Step.

You seem too PC correct. Get it clean, do it at midnight. Then use Future Floor wax, only have to hose down after that.
