Hello all, we're considering moving from our 1989 Bayliner 3888 to a Cruisers 4270 Esprit express. It is a '97 with twin Cat 3126TA engines. The boat has slightly under 300h.
We are experienced boaters but still wouldn't consider skipping the survey of hull/equipment and engines. I'll arrange that if our first visit and test run pans out.
Before I pay for a survey, I am interested in comments and suggestions (positive and negative) from anyone who has experience with this model. Any problems to watch for? I know that I need to check carefully for compression leaks on the 3126 CATs which seem prone to head gasket failure. Anything else?
Much appreciated
Mike
