New Boat Problems

The factory is not near orlando, it is in Orlando. It means absolutely nothing.They want all warranty issues handled by the dealer. There is a sea ray factory in Merritt Island and my slip neighbor has major problems with his boat that was built there and they will not bring it back to the factory for repair.
 
I installed a ball valve just after the pump.It bleeds into the bildge but I usually hold a small bowl at the outlet.

I only have to open if for a second to regain prime.

It is usually because some air is caught in the strainer.
 
Regal isn't sea ray, it's not part of the brunswick empire, they normally take customer service a little more seriously and being local maybe able to send a approved tech to the boat, thru another dealer or something...

again, if you have to reprime after a haulout, it is a DESIGN flaw. the hose shoudl be routed upward from the strainer to the pump. if that the case, it will self prime.
 
Actually I took an afternoon off took a factory tour and asked about factory service. Regal does not want to get involved unless it the dealer cannot rectify the situation.
Cool tour though.
