New cameras and radar to keep watch over bay.

Sounds like "Big Brother" or "1984"... recently, a court case was heard (outcome not yet known) where a traffic camera happened to catch a felony activity in progress. This was the prosecutions main evidence... courts heard case to ascertain if the video was admissable in court.

Need to find out the resoluion of this case... Jim

similar thing was installed off the port of Miami a few years ago, supposedly to track inbound vessels, smugglers, etc... a few months later a 100' haitian freighter came into the bay, and dumped 200+ migrant on the causeway. in broad daylight.

No more smooching on the flybridge, the feds will be watching. But somehow this is for our own good or is it to stop the big human trafficking problem we have on the bay.

Its funny how they leave out Calvert Cliffs in the article.

This is just a tip of what is out there for citizen surveillance. Welcome to the new America.

Sheesh. What will they monitor next; how many sheets of tiolet paper we use?

On the bright side, this will really reduce the threat of terrorists over-fishing the Chesapeake.
