I finally uploaded some pictures of the new cockpit cover I made for our 1985 Chris Craft Scorpion. We started using our boat again last year as are kids are getting older. I also started to teach my son how to pilot the boat. I can't believe that we have owned this boat for 21 years and now our kids are using it. Boy, I am getting old.

Nice Job - I love 80's boats - something about them that has been lost!

Bob do you have a mooring cover for the Trojan? If not maybe you could make three of them. I'm willing to take the first one I'm sure they would get better with practice. I would love to be able to pull all the canvas at the end of the season but still have a cover until they shrink the boat.
By they way nice job on the Chris Craft.

Dave, he'll only need to make two. Mine came with one that goes from the bow to the swim platform, all the way down to under the rub rail.

He can use mine as a template

Is it a winter cover or just a mooring cover. Wait the boat was down south why would they have a winter cover. Can it be use while in the water? Sounds a little larger then I had in mind. I would like something like he made for his other boat, just like I had for my last boat I would use it only for a few weeks a year.

It's 3 pieces that zip together for use on the water.

Bob that is a neat looking boat. Did you have to reupholster it also or is this all original?

sounds pretty interesting I'm sure it helps keep the boat clean.

Thanks for the compliments guys. Yes the interior was reupholstered 11 years ago keeping to its original colors. Last year I ripped everything out and replaced all the wood underneath and put back all the upholstery or replaced areas that needed it.

I do want to see Mikes full cover. This could be a weeeeeeeeeeeenter project. I would like to make a cockpit cover for the Trojan. This would help big time at the end of the year. Ok Dave you got me thinking.

Bob let me know if you need any help with the Weeeeeeenter project.

Bob,

I upholstery a hobby or a business.

Nice cover and interior.

Thanks,
So far a hobby, however I keep thinking about it as a business. If so, I would then take proffesional courses to better understand the whole process of creating tops and campers from scratch. Replacing existing parts I can do.
