Hi folks. I just joined the forum. I have been boating on and off (mostly on) in the Delta since 1997. I currently keep a small Crownline cuddy at Oxbow Marina. Look forward to learning much.

Hey Pete. Welcome aboard and happy New Year! I'm glad you found your way to little section with the best boating in the world. LOL

We have a few others who post here from Oxbow. You should feel right at home! Hope to see you on the water sometime.

Pete, welcome aboard and hope you enjoy the site. I spend way to much time on here according to the admiral. There are a lot of good hearted people with a lot of advice. Hope you enjoy

Hello ginman! Welcome to the zoo - it is a great group with all kinds of good information and fun stuff.

I'm at Oxbow too - right in front of the store, slip 01 on shed AA, Comfortably Numb is the name on the back.
We might know each other, or have at least had a beer together at one of the Marina parties. Are you a member of The Castaways or the Oxbow YC?

Stop by and say hello, I am down quiet a bit.

Jim

Many thanks for the greetings.

I'll try to stop by your berth on one of my trips, Jim. With the temps supposedly in the low 60s by week's end, will do my best to get down there. I'm in the Walnut Grove shed by the pool and clubhouse. I was going out on a friend's boat a while back and we followed a nice old woodie out of the marina with "Comfortably Numb" on the back. Was that yours - or perhaps another Pink Floyd fan? Your avitar pic looks to be fiberglass, though. I'm not affiliated with a club now but have been reading alot about the Castaways in the Yachtsman magazine. Sounds like an interesting group.

Is Castaways only for boaters who berth at Oxbow? I like the idea of a "paper" club. And just fun, no dues, fits my pocketbook these days!

Welcome aboard Pete! Glad to have you with us. If you ever get to Driftwood marina give me a heads up.

Flutter, if you like the idea of a paper club check out Tower Park. They're a great bunch (ok, so I'm a member too) and dues are quite reasonable!

Liz, we have a pretty good mix, actually. What's wrong with Sea Rays ?! The Sea Ray club comes to Caliente once a year and are a great group to hang out with!

Nothing wrong with Sea Rays. Some of the owners are a problem for me.......that's all.
