Technically the main docks at Pastys are a few inches wider than the main docks at SPBM. (Yup I measured them!) The problem is the short boat fingers are way to narrow and unstable. Having one of the larger boats at that marina we always got one of the Tee docks which where as wide as the main docks.

Mike is willing to build whatever people want to attract new business so if 4 or 5 people went as a group and said we need x slips together with y sized fingers he would build them over the winter for a spring launch. I still feel strongly that he needs to deal with the seawall first though.

Not many people know about it but there is an awesome snack bar at the Patsys pool. From hot dogs to steamers and wraps. Excellent prices, good portions and VERY inexpensive!

We have an awesome restaurent at SPBM. Service was a little slow in the spring but by august it was good. I had six people there on Labor Day weekend and it was only 45 minutes from sit down to me paying the check. Dad always gets stuck with that. Everybody was real happy with what they ate including my grandson Johnathon, 11 who had 2 large orders of fries plus a burger. Now we have another topic to debate.

They must have finally gotten a grill that can cook more than 2 burgers at a time! Sorry, I tried them twice this past summer, both times it took forever to get our meals - they forgot some of the food, as well.

Not sure if I would give them another shot next year...

First off I just want to say I think Mike and Jim are great they have bent over backwards to take great care of me with anything I have ever needed specially in times of need like having problems prepping for bottom paint. Hands down the best service I have ever gotten. I wont knock the marina but I like were I am better, I enjoy my friends at the dock. To me it's like my second home I'm very comfortable there. I don't know what tomorrow will bring but I will hope for the best, if not I know I have options being nobody is full.

I wont defend our restaurant I tried to eat there twice and was put off but the service before I ever even got seated I don't expect I will be returning soon. I liked it when Brian ran the place.

Brian is at the Cortlandt Yacht Club across from us. We ate there this summer because the snack bar opened to the public. They can only handle boats up to 22' for restaurent docking. You would have to go over on your jet ski.

Next season we'll have the owners of Gilligan's opening a new restaurant where Parrot Bay used to be!! Looking forward to taking their shuttle to and from PBM.

Sounds good to me.
Shuttle? what is it a block to walk will the come to SBPM?

Ken that sounds like a plan, The last time I took my Jetski to lunch I ended up in Mariners in Kingston three tanks of gas later I returned home. Was a great do out with the wife.

No doubt we need a decent restaurant close by that isn't overpriced like Haverstraw. I'm looking forward to the new Gilligan's as well. BTW, I hear the dredging at SPBM is starting soon. Wayne is going to fire up his Tug Boat when low tide is approaching and push all the silt south to fill in PBM. :)

Now that's funny sad but funny and oddly believable.

I dredge out PBM every time I go in and out!

Don't know about you guys, but I have 4 feet of water under by boat at low tide.

Maybe in your slip Wayne but what about in the fairway?

Some memorable water shots from SPBM for Wayne.

I don't count the fairway.
I have 4 feet under my boat in my slip at low tide. I know that because, I fell In the hole one day.

How many tires are down there? Last year I pulled a tire on the rim out after dredging around with a pole.

They are old pics. Look at the docks. They are the old ones before Wayne upgraded the facilities. I know I have what probablly equals an entire tool box of tools all around my slip. I think I see an Edsel parked in the lot in the background.

Less than 2 year old photos, Mon 22 Dec 2008 02:16:39 PM EST is the time stamp on one of them.

All were taken the same day. I know, I took them.
They may be winter pictures Wayne but many of us have seen the same phenomena in the spring and fall as well. On average it happens twice a year.

Blowing things around with his tug boat doesn't help much but it does help a little when he uses the backhoe to dredge and then use the PCB laced material as base material for the children's playground. But that got covered with sand so I'm sure it's most likely safe for the kiddes.

BTW - all but the first shot were shots of G dock so you won't see any cement docks.

All the marinas look like that except Haverstraw, I think they all need to be dug out.
