Greetings,

I am a newbie boat owner wannabe :) Actually, I'm very close to getting my hole in the water... a 24ft cuddy.

The boat currently is down around brick. Here is what I would "like" to do and would like to get some feedback on how doable it is or if I'm crazy.

If everything works out, I will take delivery of the boat next monday. I would like to relocate it to the navisink/shrewsbury area and then use transient docking over the coming weekend or so. How much are transient docks and are they available?

Then I would like to have it moved to my house for some deep cleaning, repairs etc. Since it doesn't have a trailer, I guess I will have to get a boat hauler to take it to my house.

I live in oakhurst around 8 miles from the long branch municipal boat launch. Would it make sense to have a boat hauler come to that and take the boat to my house? Or would they want to come to a marina, which are father away from my house. Anybody have any suggestions of any boat hauler to use? How much should I expect to pay?

I will not be able to get back to the water until the week after the 4th of July. When do most people consider the end of the season?

Any hints on where to find a place to keep this after the 4th? slips, racks etc? winter storage?

Please go easy on me, I'm just trying to learn :)

PS. Anyone know where (or from whom) I could get a trailer for a 24ft boat where I'm not paying the new price, lol..

Thanks in advance!
