Hi Everyone,

I am a newbie to this forum and my soon to be fiance just purchased a 2006 360 Sundancer. We will be keeping it at SS3 in Lindenhurst.
Are any of you docked there? Any comments on keeping it there? We will be partying at the dock as well as Zacks bay and other places.

I am new to big boats as my previous one was a 2005 Montauk 170 from Boston whaler. Gonna be a huge jump.

Would love to hear from some of you.

Thanks and see ya around the docks,

Alan

Welcome and congrats on your new boat... I am at the Long Island Yacht Club, about 1 mile east of you by water. I purchased my 28 and 32 at SS3.

Congrats...and welcome to the forum....and the world of big boats....that's a nice jump.... from 17' to 36'.

Im also a (4X) SS3 customer....and dock in Copiague.

Good Luck with the new boat !!!!

Welcome and congrats and good luck with the new boat! That's quite a jump and a whole different type of boating, I'm sure you'll enjoy the added capabilities for overnighting and trips with the new boat. I'm in Lindenhurst also, just a little west of you, for the winter my boat is across the canal from SS3 at the Anchorage.

John

What did you do with the Whaler?

Watch out for these LICC guys...

Hi Everyone,

thanks for the nice welcome. Looking forward to seeing you all on the water and maybe at some events or rafting....i never did that but always wanted to.

I sold my whaler due to a pending divorce and took a beating on it but it went to a fireman who was going to treat it well and use it with his kids. Kinda made up for the financial hit.

Anyway, i will be checking this forum a few times and i hope i can eventually add to the content instead of learn from it.

All the best,

Alan

P.S. taking driving lessons starting this week for the 360. Can't wait to get behind the wheel.

Alan,
who's giving you the lessons??

Alan,

Capt Mike Winter at SS3 gave me my first few lessons. Good guy.

Well..long story. We had our 290 amberjack brought over to our house in Merrick last night and my fiance hired a captain to do it. He is the one who will be giving lessons. Don't know his name unfortunately. Can't wait to be able to chat a course for CT or Atlantic City

I spoke to Mike Winters a year ago about a slip when I had my whaler and he was a nice guy.

Good luck on the boat and welcome to the gang.
