No Suction

I have a 99 Sundeck 24, it has a small port-a-pottie with its own holding tank. Whenever I try to use the dock side pump out it will not suck anything out and creates a vacum seal. I wind up having to pull the thing off to empty it. any help would be much appreciated.

There may be a "Y" valve in the line, check for one and make sure it is in the proper position.

I second the plugged vent; if air can't come into the tank, nothing can be pumped out of it.

Had a similar problem, after you dump the next time visually inspect for anything in the tank.
My kids had a party and one of the visitors "accidentally" dropped a coke bottle top down the head.
When I tried to pump out the vacuum sucked the bottle cap into the pipe, plugging it.
No vacuum cap fell back into the tank.
Took awhile to find.

I do not think it is a plugged vent because when the Toilet seal is open it still will not pull. THere is def. a Y on the system as it used to have a macerator leading to a sea cock, I will see if I can get to it.
