Anyone have information on North Cove Marina? We are thinking about a fall trip to Manhattan and don't want the rock 'n roll of Chelsea Piers and would rather not deal with the water taxi from Liberty Landing. Just wondering if this place has issues with waves. Thanks for your help.

North cove is worse than Chelsea Piers - which is real bad
Liberty Landing is the way to go

I agree with Andy. I walk past North Cove a lot and the boats are rolling all over the place, even the big yachts sometimes. It may settle down a little at night, but earlier it's very rough in there. I just got back from a week at Liberty Landing yesterday, it's the best spot to go. The water taxi is every 1/2 hour, they run until 10:45 coming back on Friday and Saturday, and worst case if you want to hang out late you can take a cab back.

Newport Marina is another option. It's directly opposite North Cove. There is a PATH (Subway) station that will take you to Manhattan.
