Not going in on Friday as planned

Warren, where were you when I stayed on the boat 2 weeks ago with the expected snow storm and 26 degree weather? Oh that's right, you stayed home where it was nice and cozy! And dont bother, I wont be there anyhow!

I'm going in monday. I'll be joining you for a while on "D" dock. The main part of "G" dock is broken in several places. They are going to replace the entire main dock. See you soon.

I had notice a while back that the dock wasn't looking good I think I even mentioned I thought your finger had sunk.
I may be launching tomorrow but I don't know when I will move it to my slip maybe Saturday maybe sooner, I will see when I have the time.

Dave, did you launch today? It looks like someone took all of the fenders of the docks that people left over the winter and piled them up on the main dock. No one seems to know why. If you have any, you should secure them before they disappear. Another mystery unsolved.

Prhaps you guys are getting new docks over there..

No but weather permitting I'm going in today why did they pull the fenders. I going to head up today and check this out I had my whole finger lined with fenders and they were there a few days ago. I will be pissed it they are gone and even more pissed if there removed my wheel. I was going to stop by yesterday and add one and tighten up the rest but it was raining so I figured it would wait. When did you notice that they had pulled the fenders? Are you sure it was our dock not G docks they are replacing the main dock there.

I have no idea why or who pulled them. I did not see any wheels removed. I was up there this weekend and they were all piled up in the docks. Very weird.

There are new docks going in but D docks are only a couple of years old.

Dave - Yes, I'm sure it was d-dock. It hasn't been that long of a winter. :)

Is it boating season in NY yet? I'm starting to get motivated and may actually go in next week. This winter was so depressing I think I hit BE maybe 10 times in the last 4 months.

If anyone sees a set of green and black taylor fenders can you set them aside. I left them attached to my finger last year.

Is there a boat in my slip yet? I'm hoping to start the season off beter than last.

MJK

Mike so far your slip is empty the fenders are all in the shed near the pit but they seem to be first come first serve so anyone and everyone needs to claim your fenders ASAP, I stopped by and got all of mine. I will clean them up and install them.

The good news is I'm in the water and motors are commissioned so far so good.

They told me they plan on doing this every year to keep things looking neat. I may bring it over tomorrow I hurt my shoulder working on the boat today if I'm up to it I will move it, if not I may have to wait a bit. I'm having trouble lifting my arm just moving the throttles hurts doctor says it may take a few days to a few weeks to get better but he wants me to do as much as I can with in reason to keep it mobile and prevent it stiffening up and making it even worse.

We must be getting old. I've been layed up all week with my neck. Herniated disc. Maybe we should not have been shooting my shotgun.

Face it, we are getting old. Think back.....when did 2 or 3 weekends of buffing/painting/working on your boat send you to the doctor. Just saying................

Who loves you?

Maybe that's what did in my shoulder? I don't know if you remember but my shoulder was hurting before I pulled the trigger but it was fun. Don't tell me the three rounds gave you a Herniated disc. Just think what that would do to your wife it might break her in half, maybe she shouldn't try it.

It's about three am and I'm sitting here with a heating pad. I wake up every time I roll over this sucks!!!

Dave:

I feel your pain...literally. I have two bulging discs in my neck. Unbearable pain right down the arm into the fingers. I went through three rounds of epidural shots....some relief but not 100%. Also, last October, I blew out my knee while running. I'm bone on bone right now. Had to have my knee drained three times and I'm about to have 'syn-visc' shot into the knee at the end of this month to see if that helps. For now, until I get the knee replaced, I wear an unloading knee brace.....think forest gump.

Because my walking 'gate' is off, my back tend to go out more often too.

Getting old sucks...

Every time I turn during the night I also wake up. I find ice works better than heat.....that....and drugs.

Dominic I hope you get better soon! I'm pretty sure my shoulder is a very temporary thing and I expect to feel as good as new in a day or two. I have full motion and downward motion is pain free, in fact my doctor expects I should be able to go bowling tonight I not sure about this one. Upward motion is another story very limited motion without pain and even with pain I'm being encourage to stretch it out several times a day.
I have to agree that getting old sucks I never had these problems when I was younger but there are plenty of members here that have real problems, to me this is a temporary set back. I try not to loose sight of the fact people like Rommer are dealing with real problems and to all of you I wish you my best and hope you can forgive my whining about such trivial issues that I'm experiencing.

They should change the name of your marina to the Stony Point Geriatric Bay Marina.

You guys sound like a bunch of old coots!!

Haha I agree. The best part about this is the drugs. I'm swallowing oxycodone like they're Pez.
