Bought a 1997 Doral 270SC last year and for the entire summer there was a very strange smell in the boat...I investigated and finally found a small crack in the bottom of my 30 gal holding tank. It had been leaking for some time... I epoxyed the small crack which seemed to solve the leak problem but when putting the tank back in, the hoses were put on the wrong fittings...Found out only when I went to get pumped out and it wouldn't suck anything...The tank was 3/4 full...Couldn't get at the portal at the top of the tank to suck the stuff out so the only solution left was to.......Ughhhhh...Change hoses with a tank full of STUFF....What a mess...! Anyway, I minimized most of the damage but some of the STUFF got in the bilge...All the way up to the front...I Cleaned everything for approx 5 hrs rinsing and cleaning with Bleach solution...Tried Mr. Clean, Lysol, Zyme Zapper...Oh Ya, also tried Benefect..
Is there anything else I can try to get rid of the smell...I'm going nuts....
BTW, I replaced the Tank with a new one before launching this year...!
