The swing Bridge on the Murray canal, the western entrance to the bay of Quinte, is closed for refurbishing until the end of June.
This can add a day or more to a journey from the south or west end to access the Trent waterway.
There is also a temporary one lane bridge in place, which coupled with our high water levels, will prevent most boats from passing under.
