Numerous boats on fire...north end Haverstraw

Was On Your Mark there? Maybe it's not for sale any more?

It was "On Your Mark" I would suspect arson. They couldn't afford it, and couldn't sell it, so...

Drove by yesterday I think on your Mark is closer to the road like two finger away. This stinks the boats survived a storm and then burn up in a fire. I hope everyone is OK and no one got hurt.

Mike that's a big leap I hope or do you know for sure that is the boat on fire?

That really stinks.
Why can't they just take it out in the ocean and sink it like other people do!
I hate insurance fraud, they should increase the penalty for it!
People are low!

Where was that picture taken from? I guess I looking at it from the wrong angle. I assumed it was taken from the road. I guess it was just not from the spot I thought that would change the perspective of where it was.

If you have a boat in Haverstraw Marina there is probably black oily soot and fiberglass bits all over it. We were on our boat last night and were able to hose it off immediately once they knocked the fire out. On Your Mark, what's left of her is sitting on the bottom on her side...only a little of her deck above water.

Dave, the picture was taked from the peninsula, by the sculpture looking in. They won't get a dime from insurance based on the circumstances.

If they were going to burn it why did they move it to safety during the last storm? It just got back in it's slip. In any event I'm real sorry to hear this and I hope all of you with boats in the marina escape any damages. Years ago my parents bought a boat down in the Chesapeake off season and left it there for the Winter then brought it up in the Spring. There was a boat fire in the marina that wasn't all that close to them but they had damage to there canvas from the heat and smoke. The insurance covered it but it was a PITA. The big problem there was it was covered dock and it trapped the smoke.

Thoses pics are not the same boat, the burnt boat is not the boat "on your mark".

That explains it! It seemed backwards and it would put it in the wrong spot.

What a shame wasn't my favorite boat but non the less a terrible ending.

Oh wait, on closer look, you can see the firemen hosing down a boat burnt to the waterline.
So maybe it was.
My bad
