My wife and I went to the show today. I thought it was a little disappointing. Seemed like fewer electronics vendors than in previous years and no Oceans, Vikings Cabos etc.

Of what was there, IMO I thought the 45 Silverton was pretty nice. I just can't see the logic of the windows in the hull sides of the new SeaRay. Looks like a broken window waiting to happen.

Arigoni Design - $300+ for a cockpit step box - I don't think so.

It was not crowded. We waited to board only one boat.

Went in today...... show was decent.....pretty crowded for a rainy new years day.
Parking sucked....cost $50. for 4 hrs. Tickets were there at the will call booth.................. Had to drag my wife off the 38' Silverton. Good thing I left my check book home.

Over all.........not bad

Walter........ the 45' Silverton...........is amazing.

Wife and I did the show yesterday. We got there late and didn't know it closed early so we didn't have much time. We paid 50 bucks for full day parking and got great use of it because we walked NYC and had a great dinner on Broadway at Carmines...weather was great but got cool so we headed home to hit the Jacuzzi and watch the ball drop.

Show didn't seem that busy. We spent most of the time on the 368 Meridian MM/SS3 brought to the show. Got talking some final numbers with the Sales Manager and once we get a contract on our property I think it will be a done deal on the 368.

They had some region finance guy there also from MM and if I see him the day I open my check book I would expect at least him to crack a smile or NO deal for that day. Otherwise sales and the sales manager have been outstanding as I get closer to signing.

Walter are you afraid to hit the show in fears of buying a new boat :)

"Walter are you afraid to hit the show in fears of buying a new boat :)"

Yes Mark.........

"Walter,
Sorry I don't recall it. We were mainly looking at interiors to help us decide on colors for our couch and carpeting."

That's ok, good luck at re-doing the interior, take some before and after pictures so we can see it when your done.

Don, What was the show price for the 45 Silverton?

Walter

MArk,
Whos the sales guy u were dealing with... and the sales manager...??

Good luck with the purchase... wh owould do ur warrty serivce ?

Rob

Walter......... We didn't ask the price of the 45'er......but the 38' was regular $407K....show price of " ONLY " $349K ( I think ). He has (2) 38's 2006........ left overs for less.

P.S. We were very dissapointed with the dark woods and leathers in the cabin.... on the new S/R's......made it feel like a cave.

Rob,

I'm dealing with the Norwalk CT Marine Max office. Russell Jones and David Dzurilla they have been great. Marine Max will do the warranty work. Did you have some dealings with Marine max ?

I need a buyer for the Horse Farm to free me up for our new boat but it should all come together soon. It's really insane when you add all the numbers up slip fee, fuel ,storage ect ..ect ..ect.

Mark

I went on Saturday, and it was pretty empty. The prices did not change much. Usually you hear the bell ringing from the Searay display. No bells rang, but it was the first day of the show. Not enough boats over 40ft.

I know dave..... Good guy....

My dealing with marine max are in there Lindenhurst location....

No reason to taint u with my stories...

Good luck

Rob

Rob,

You could always send me a PM or email me at mgiomblanco**snet.net with your stories.

MM talks a big game but can they deliver ? My past says ya better have a fat wallet or learn to do it yourself

Mark,
Since the take over of ss3 M/M has been slowly too slow for my liking making changes. They need to have a blood letting .... But they did get rid of a major issue with the removal of the service manager... There is still alot dead wood ... but only time will tell... Its not like you get choice when u purchase a particular boat....

They appear to be trying to change ... lets hope they continue ....

I wish you luck....

And PUT everything in writing... DElIVERY DATE .... and everything else....

Delivery walk tru... take the time ... check everything .. ud be surprised the things they try and stick you with.... and again.. U want copies of everything ... especially the walk tru report with any and all issues u found... Also try and get in writing a time fram of the delivery issues.... Why u ask... this is january There still screwing around with my delivery issues...

but they have made progress... so theres hope ...

Good luck

Rob

Consider hiring a surveyor even though it is a new boat purchase.

Yes Yes Yes

Good advice Chris (Walshie), and in your area use Al Prisco.......... I used Al when I purchased my 2004 Silverton........best money I spent on the new boat purchase.

Walter

I'm going to print out this thread and save it.. it could take awhile to sell our Farm but hopefully not.

Walter, Al Prisco will travel to CT ?

Al came to NY where I am.... so I would imagine he would come to you.... I think you are closer...

Walter

Al flew with Walshie to, I believe, Newport, to survey his boat, CT is a piece of cake for him!

You have his number ? I'll file it

Thanks,
Mark

He is worth his weight in gold.........

Walter

I dunno Walter, Al looks fairly light, he's probably worth more than his weight.

He did an insurance survey for me - I was very pleased with his work.
