NYC and North Cove Marina

Good Day; the wife and I were thinking of heading over to NYC from Sandy Hook for an evening. We have good friends that live downtown and thought that we might stay at the North Cove Marina. The only problem is that the only slip they have available is S9 which requires one to parallel park between two mega yachts if the Marina is full.

I would love to hear about your experiences at this marina; as well as near by alternatives.
