Does anyone have experience with the Ocean 29 Super Sport? I have not been able to find much on this boat. Are 5.7 motors enough or should I only consider ones with 7.4's? Speed is not that important to me but I don't want to be under powered and work the motors too hard. How does this boat ride? Are there other boats similar to this that I may want to consider? I cruise with a growing interest in fishing. This boat has nice accomidations for it's size and is much more fishable than my current boat. Thanks for any info you can provide.

This vessel will perform just about the same with either engine. The 7.4's will out last the 5.7's. Also these vessels have a good ride. You may also consider looking at a Luhrs.

I know a guy who has one. I'd say he's generally happy with it and repowered to diesels recently. It has a very big interior for that size boat and a small but usable cockpit for fishing. I have not been on it, but have been told the ride is not that great and the boat is a little top heavy and rolls around a lot. The high profile and shallow draft can make it a little tricky to dock in high winds also. Engine access is very tight from what I've seen, you reach part of the engines from inside the cabin and part from the cockpit, and some items are difficult to get to.
