About a month ago, I requested that someone with local knowledge comment on the possible availability of a B & B local to Troy, NY.

One place in particular was available, and I had keen interest in knowing more.

I am pleased to say that I did make the trip to Troy this past weekend and I did stay at the Old Judge Mansion, located in Troy, NY. I am further pleased to say that the accommodations there are very clean and very comfortable.

The owners, Tina and Mark, are excellent hosts and, IMHO, one should have no reservations about making a reservation to stay there. I am going back for a night at the end of November and look forward to booking there in the future.

For further information, google its name.

Thanks for the info. We've made several trips from the 'lower hudson' (say, Peekskill area) to Lake Champlain, and usually spend the first night at Champlain Lock One Marina - - this would be a viable alternative allowing us to vary our options!
