I'm helping a friend with an early 90's Reinell. 19ft with a 5.0 L OMC Cobra EFI HO.
The tilt/trim works, but the gauge doesn't move fully. WHen we apply 12v to the gauge, it does move fully. Is there a potentiometer in the outdrive housing or a sending unit that can be accessed while the boat is in the water? 2nd question- The spedometer gauge is not working. We cleared the tube from the gauge to the unit on the transom. It is clear. When we apply air pressure to the gauge it moves. To get it to hit 50 mph, we need about 40 psi. Is that normal.. Any help will be appreciated. We have determined that the hosing is good and the connections are tight. Thanks, Wes
