I have a Onan MAJB 3.0KW generator that I took apart to refurbish and paint. I must have put something back wrong because when I start it now, the Charging fuse pops immediately and the generator will shuts off the moment you release the start button. From what found online, the shutting down is a safety measure if there's low oil pressure or high temps. However, I also found in a service manual the following:
"No AC Voltage Note: This condition may cause the generator set to stop when the Start switch is released."
Anyone here know a quick way to diagnose the problem?...I have the service manual which I can follow the troubleshooting page by page but didn't know if anyone has had a similar experience that they could likely point the culprit out.
