For boaters with outboards on boats kept in the water: do you flash the engines with fresh water every time? If you do, please advise on the best way to do that.
Thanks

Need to know much more info, like where do you boat, is the water Salt, Brackish or fresh? What brand of motors?

I boat in fresh/brackish water. My Yamaha as a hose fitting on the outside of the engine for flushing it. I usually flush it at the end of each weekend.

They are 1996 Yamaha Saltwater 200 and the boat is in saltwater.

You should flush them at the end of every day

I understand that I should flush them every time but what is the best way to do it with the boat in the water.

Yes, we flush with fresh water every time we get back to the dock. It's become habit now. We hook it up as soon as we tie up, and let it run while we take all of our gear off.
The 150 Merc 4 stroke we have on the boat now has a fitting for flushing it out.
