Anyone every get their outdrives refinished? Where do you take them locally? Every year I just slap on anti-fouling paint but I think they are in need of a complete refinish. Hear you can use the beads to refinish them.

Yeah yeah I know, I need to get a real boat with shafts, but I like my fuel economy and speed.

Dave......there's a outdrive shop in Amityville on Ketchum Ave ( Moss Outdrives )....they may be able to refinish them for you. I think if you want them glass- beaded....you will need to break them down to empty cases.

Yeah, Moss is a friend of mine. Didn't think to call him. I ain't breaking them down. Maybe i will just sand and paint as I always do. Who cares what they look like, they are under the water!

Yeah.........just that after years and years of paint build up.........they start to look like crap. I painted mine EVERY year....and also went for the $75 for the new decal set for each drive too.....PITA
