overnight marina south of sacramento

iam planning a 1 night trip south out of sacramento whats a good marina with bathrooms
showers maybe restaurant bar
thats close to sac go ing south
i plan a longer trip this summer but for now just want a shorter dock guest slip not all the way to rio vista

i printed the tips for the longer trip this summer, but here 1st iam interested in a dock
to go to with electrical or at least a restaurant and a bar for the quick 1 night trips to take friends along that are south of the sacramento area anything between sacramento and walnut grove ???
 
Give Courtland Docks a call to see what is available now. Here is a website with info/numbers, etc.

This marina's operations seem to change from year to year, so it important to call first. Also the Sacramento Yacht Club might be a possibility if you are a yacht club member.

Ryde Hotel has a dock. Their facilities vary from year to year, so call them first too.

You will have more choices if you go to Walnut Grove. Check out that same website for many marinas along the way. But always call first to verify what is available and the hours of operation.
 
Try the Freeport Marina, just south of Sacramento. Good location and nice people
 
I'd second Freeport, but it isn't a very long trip from Sacramento. The Walnut Grove docks are nice, but there aren't any restrooms or showers. There are several restaurant/bars to choose from. The Ryde Hotel had minimal electric power (one 15A circuit) but there dock was wiped out by a rock barge and has been re-built so I'm not sure how much power they have now. They also have a 9 hole pitch n putt course to keep you busy during the afternoon.

One last suggestion might be to call Sacramento Yacht Club and express a possible interest in joining. They have good docks, restrooms, showers and a restaurant/bar. Their members are very friendly and they may welcome you for a night or two.

is the freeport marina the restaurant
in the big white building with the shell gas sign?
are there showers electrical did you say restaurant and a bar too ?
 
Come to Walnut Grove and stay at Dagmars Landing. It is right below the Walnut Grove bridge and has both 30 & 50 amp electric, showers etc. Bar’s and restaurants are a close walk. Depending on speed, it is only a 2-3 hour cruise south of Sacramento.

rubyray, this time of year, the currents will be pretty strong. You will "fly" downstream, but plan on twice as much time/fuel heading back up the Sacramento. If you catch an incoming tide for your return trip, that will help make it easier.

are there guest slips
what restaurants are there

Dagmar's is the marina just below the bridge in Walnu Grove. Yes, there are guest’s slips, showers, restaurants etc. The harbormasters phone number is 916-776-1961. They have 30 and 50 amp electric, pump out, etc. No fuel, fuel is in Lock at the Boathouse.

Hey Dugs,

I hadn't even noticed your address change. When you'd get out of Florida and move to New York? Are you guys doing the snow bird thing?
 
Very interesting. I didn't know I was in NY either. Going boating tomorrow in the Gulf of Mexico.
