We plan to boat down to Oxford in September. Any recommendations for a marina.

Meats. Nice facility, nice tree filled park with picnic benches where you can grill out, nice pool.

Yes, Mears. Its a nice town to walk around.... a bit quiet though.

Mears is the one we know, very pleasant, docks in OK shape last time we were there.

Co. that owned Mears has sold that one. Next to it is Oxford boat yard, and usually slips there, but a stong working marina. Other end of town is Campbells, and it is quiet and very good, but a 2mi walk into town. Pool is also very small. Hinkleys' is also in town, but they cater to more their boat sales.

Thought I heard recently that Mears and Oxford were under same ownership...

?

Didn't know if that might have meant Coastal Properties bought Oxford Boat Yard, or the other way around... or if maybe there's a new player in town... or whether I've got it all wrong :)
