Pascal's AWOL - who's doing what this long weekend

Up here boating in N.Y. for the week, watching the Navy go through it's paces..Aircraft and Ships are Just Beautiful! The sea water aint a pretty color unless you run 3+miles off shore.
Car Traffic is not fun and their are No Palm trees!
I miss me boat mon!
 
NY isn't great but long island sound is darn nice!! we anchored off the Thimbles islands off CT... WOW! it's not that far from NY, about 40 or 50 miles... beautiful! further east, Newport is just simply amazing.

Sylvain, Good to hear from you. Im hoping the weather cooperates and I can do some fishing. Will be watching the weather reports. Wanna go?
Also hope to visit the Sands chikkee bar one evening for some clams and a beer.(or two)

Pascal, I lived in Port Jefferson for many years and did my boating in the sound near Belle Terre. Used to camp with my kids top of the dunes at MT. Misery Shoals. You are right about the sound being nice, wonder if that area has changed much. South shore fishing and boating was also lots of fun. The clamming was great.

O, Will do, and Ill bring a Camera to record your "How to not catch fish" secret.

Its Saturday,I have somthing to finish up at the shop this AM, but hope to get out Sun or Mon. Ill give you a shout. Is your Dad in town??
 
Was hoping to get out today, Monday, but to windy and didint feel like getting thrown around.

Maybe next week.

O.K. I've got to give it to N.Y and my old haunts.... Those lobsters are easy game along with a load of little necks,That made a easy dive to spoil some Yankee friends, I grabbed one 2 lb and two 1 lb+ this time. They miss cruising on my boat out to the Great South bay as we used to do every year which included diving offshore for lobster and hanging out at Sailors Haven for some R/R.This Time I sailed on my friends "Yacht". We all had alot of fun!
I want my boat!
