Todd, don't take it personally, that 1/4 mile walk to their boats makes them cranky...

I wonder why is it that HM transient business is so blooming and prosperous while all the other marinas around us don't have transient slips at all!! Can someone explain? I mean i know we are better looking but that cant be the only reason!!! :-)

Sometimes i also wonder how bowering my week was until i signed up to BE!!! I actually just worked all week!!!

Simple, our marina is full, and besides, we wouldn't want the transient riff-raff fouling our facility.

I actually paced it off when I was moving. It's almost exactly twice the distance from my old dock. Decision was, it was a non factor. I walk every weekend morning with my wife before I go up to boat so what is a few more paces. Besides with the dock hands helping you, its a breeze. How much do they pay the dock hands at PB? The only reason I ask is because it cant be as much as HM since I never see any of ours leaving for work over there.

I don't mind tipping the kids a couple of bucks to do something that makes my life easier! They come and take the garbage and if and when I have a heavy cart load they are happy to bring it to the boat and even unload onto the boat. You can't tell me that's not worth a tip!

I dont mind doing it myself either but its nice to see kids hustling these days instead of playing on a computer so I use their services anyway. I have spent money in worse ways.

I have no idea what PennyBridge pays our dockhands, it's none of my business. How much do they pay the Haverstraw dockhands?

I think it's around $25/hr Plus tips of course. Btw, think of the walk you would have over there if you were in water deep enough to take your boat out 24/7. You would have to tip the poor dock boys 20 bucks per run.

I think I just might take the entire summer off for vacation. This work stuff is not what they make it out to be.

When my son was s dock boy at HM, they paid minimum wage.

They are doing so well here now that we all moved over here I guess they raised the wages. Heard they even offer a retirement package and 401k.
