A friend told me of a confrontation in the middle of the bay between Marco Is. and Key West, 50 miles offshore. A cruising boat owner at KY told him a crabber type boat with three guys aboard approached with them while crossing. The guy on the bow holding a long gun. The cruising boat turned and ran and after a while, the pirate vessel gave up. This was reported to the CG but they had no success in finding the pirates. Has anyone else heard of this incident?
