Sad to say, we had a boat which ran over and on top of another boat yesterday afternoon, a 30' Chaparral. Both boaters are good folks that I know with years of boating experience. Luckily no one was seriously hurt.
The first boat stopped while preparing to zip up his canvas from the rain, the second boater didn't stop in time, ripping through the transom, ripping off the arch and crushing the windshield. Both boats were able to make it back to the marina on their own with medical help waiting..still waiting for an accident report and outcome. I don't like it when someone is cruising too close behind me, just for this very reason. Certainly a reminder that inattentiveness can ruin a good day. Sorry, but these pics are from my cell phone.
