I used him when we purchased our Trojan. He said he was a Prop Scan dealer, I then found out he was not but then was told he used Prop View. He said it was the same. I let him repair the props that year. One engine never reach the correct rpms. Turns out my props were not pitched correctly and one blade was off by 3/4 -7/8 of an inch. The cupping was not correct as well.
Fast forward a year later and I decided to bring them to Pitch Perfect Propeller in Stamford CT. Chuck Gray is the owner. He used to be on the Hudson River. Very nice person to talk to. He put my props on while I was there and showed me exactly what was wrong. He corrected all issues and told me exactly what rpms I will run at and at what speed. He was dead on. There was no vibration and I was cruising at a lower rpm and faster speed. I will only use Chuck and Prop Scan.
I just brought my props up a week ago and he called to let me know they are complete. Nice fast turn around. Granted the season is just starting to ramp up.
Give him a call at 203-653-1443 and tell him I referred you to him. He is located in the Brewers Marina.
Prop View and Prop Scan may appear to be the same, like I thought, however they are not. Prop scan is much more precise.
