Killed 3 spiders on the boat already and it's not even in the water yet. Aaarrrggg.

What are you waiting for? PBM is putting them in the water like crazy!

I've been ready for two weeks but heading to Florida this weekend so I'm going to wait till I get back. I was planning on last out first in but some SOB already splashed on my dock. The nerve.

I was there for 10 years, just left 3 years ago. Always went in before April 15th. Never had a problem, never got charged anything extra. Maybe it has changed now, don't know.

We checked today and nothing has changed they prefer if you go in after the 1st but would accommodate if you need to get in sooner. I hope to be in be the 1st and would be in my slip any sooner then that so all is good. If it takes me an extra week so be it. Every year I rush to get in but then I don't use it much until May so it no big deal. I just want to get settled in my new home.

I finished buffing with Buff Magic today and the boat looks great tomorrow I will apply the Rejex and all that's left is bottom paint.

The weather has been great this year knock wood!

Got the bottom painted and about 3/4 of the boat waxed. Should finish up this week, then splash time. Gonna be below freezing Monday night.

We took ours out of the water today for the first time in 18 months,at no cost to haul or relaunch, (it's called southern hospitality). [:-shades]

We did this in an attempt to keep the earth's waters balanced as you guys launch.

The bottom paint still looks great. A quick power wash, change of zincs, coat of wax and relaunch within a few days.

I'm supposed to launch tomorrow but the weather looks like crap. Good think boats float.

Your bottom paint looks great. Much better and smoother than when you do it!!!

Kidding....

Do they know you are a red sox fan Pete? So hows retirement treating you? Miss yhe hudson yet?

Very funny, but also might be true. I did the sanding and prep work my back screamed at me when I even thought about doing the painting this year.

Diesel, IPS, and the center line berth, put a hardtop on her and you have the "perfect" boat. If I ever get in your neck of the woods, or your in mine, I would love to have a ride on your boat.

Butch;

EVERYBODY knows that I'm a Red Sox fan!! Retirement has been great and only continues to get better and better and yes we truly do miss the Hudson. While we do enjoy the fact that our boat is now 5 minutes away as opposed to the 1 1/2 hours we experienced on the Hudson, a lot of thing are now different. While at Haverstraw, we used to stay on board almost every week-end all summer long. Since moving, we have not spent one single night on board in the past two years.

We are on one of the most scenic parts of the ICW, and enjoy the peacfulness of the side tributaries but nothing compares to the Hudson River especially from Croton up to Albany. On the Hudson we were spoiled with great water depths almost everywhere. On the ICW we have learned that you need to pay attention ALL of the time, and once you gain control of the center of the channel, be very careful who you decide to give it up to.

Bottom line, Do I regret the move . . . . . Hell No!!

Enjoy your season.

Good. Topped out at 47 mph and 3600 RPM. We went over to the Boat House and tied up next to their parking lot and had lunch.

Pete, Good to hear you are enjoying the retirement. You can always take a trip back up here and see the gang. Perhaps Haverstraw would let you stay in your old slip. ;>)... We are starting to make our plans for Delaware. Looking around the Idian River. Hoping for water front but water Depth is a problem there as well. Will leave the big boat up here in hogans slip and pick up something smaller for down there. Also glad that you have not given up on your team. Perhaps some day soon!

So after being ready for a month and not putting it in on all of those nice days, I'm going to launch in the snow on Saturday. That sounds about right.

Maybe today, after all, it's supposed to snow tomorrow!

I would really prefer if you waited until tomorrow so I would not have to hear how you splashed before me.
