As a pilot we have an internet site where all the airports have the daily price of fuel (not gas - fuel) posted. This way we can plan our flights to include a strategic fill-up. Not so for we boaters I guess. Still I do shop price, and since I'm getting ready to take on a couple hundred gallons I made seom calls today. Sure can make a difference! Spindrift reports $3.89 a gallon, and they can't tell me if that is for 87 or 89 although I assume it is 89. Village West reports $2.57 for 89 which compared to Spindrift is a huge difference. Problem is the Village West pump is down for service! But any day now and my two hundred gallons would be a couple hundred bucks plus cheaper at Village West. Home at Loch Lomand is $3.59 for 89 less my 10% discount as slipholder, and so that's right in the middle. Sure be nice if the floating community could score a site like the flying community and we could compare at all locations.
