Proposal to cut funding for most state parks?

You know California has a great track record of chasing taxes and revenues out of the state. They have made the state a hostile environment for business and they have gone elsewhere to operate with less restrictions and taxes. If the parks close many travelers will do the same and go find other locations and states as destinations and many more tax dollars will not be spent.

This is just one more example of our elected officials not getting it. They need to entice business to return to California by any means they can and keep the parks open to keep tax dollars and spending flowing from the travelers who would like to come here. Then what will happen our legislators will try to raise taxes and further increase the burden on the few who do live and travel here. It's like they want to tax 1 widget at 10% rather then spreading the burden of 3 widgets at 3.33%. IF the damn idiots who think they know how to run the state had some marketing and business sense they could make up the tax revenue by volume which would lower everyones taxes and have increased stability from the revenue stream due to the larger numbers contributing to it. It would take a while to get business to come back so this would happen but it could be done.

Damn I'm pissed off at these idiots!

Gnarly, I agree with you 150%! Have you emailed/called your state reps to express this to them? I sure hope so!
