Pt. San Pablo Yacht Harbor / Yacht Club?????

Hi all,
The project boat is now somewhat less of a project and has become a running live-aboard, although there's enough left to do to keep me busy till I can't move anymore. It's now at Pt. San Pablo Yacht Harbor, a rustic spot full of character and old stories. I'm enjoying it there a lot. The question is this: I've seen a sign for the Pt. San Pablo Yacht Club off of Cutting in Richmond -- pretty far from the marina. Were these two ever related? How did it happen that they have essentially the same name but are so far apart?

I used to go fishing out of there on a party boat. I'm just up the river from you at the Richmond Rod and Gun Club...maybe 3 mi away.

I don't think there ever was a connection between the two.
