Where do I find a threaded fitting(deck side) that will hookup to the pump out.Are these fittings standard? Forgive my ignorance, I am new to this type of boating. I had go fast boats for years. They are not as family friendly as a Sport Crusier.
Thanks in advance!

are you talking about the deck fitting ? with the cap ? if so it's pretty standard althoguh they come in 2 sizes i think... what you use on teh pump out hose depends on the pump out... some have quick release cam locks so you need the adapter (avail. at most marine stores). it screws in the deck fitting, replacing the cap and the cam lock fitting on the hose latches on.

other pump outs have a rubber nozle that you just force against the fitting...

Yes,the one with the quick release cam locks that screws in the deck fittings! I have used the one with the rubber ends... It ALLWAYS seems to puke on me!! Are the they avalb anywhere other than west marine?

the plastic adapter that screws in the fitting and onto which the camlocks latches shoudl be available everywhere, sometimes marinas have them at the office. they do come in 2 sizes (threads) make sure you get the right size...

with the rubber end, the key is to keep it pressed hard until it's done or release teh vacuum seal very slowly.

I'm thinking I got mine at Home Depot for a few bucks! Might be worth a look see.

Most are standard 1 1/2 iron pipe size threads. You can find them most anywhere.

It is a standard irrigation fitting. Any local Agricultural Supply store should have them.

Thanks for all the advice, We are getting a pump out rb2@gr5t my new marina with in the next 30 to 45 days so, I will wait and see what I need as far as fittings go.Or I may by both!
