Purasan Installation Question

I hope someone can give me a quick answer before Monday when Raritan is open, maybe Vic will check in. I'm installing a Purasan for two toilets, got everything in and working on the electricial. According to Vic I don't need to install the CVs(not sure that's the correct name). I've hooked up the power to the Purasan and a line from the forward toilet switch to the board on S2. This activates the Pursan and water valve, but the water valve only stays open as long as the button is pressed. I'm not using the switch supplied with the Purasan because if I understood correctly it's meant for one toilet connection not two.
The question...is the water valve suppose to activate long enough to fill the canister with water when the toilet button is pressed, or do you have to hold the toilet button for 10 secs to get enough water in the canister? Going back to the boat in the morning to finish up, hopefully someone has an answer so I don't have to wait until Monday. Maybe I'm wrong but I understood pressing either (forward or aft) toilet button would activate the Purisan and supply the correct amount of water to the canister without having to hold the button down for a certain time.
 
Not sure if this will help I have a Hold-N-Treat PuraSan I tied output 1 to HI the selonoid valve. This fills the canister once adjusted by the clip to the input pump to the freshwater valve effectively filling the treatment macerater while the pump filling the PuraSan is pumping. The final adjustment is the clip feeding the freshwater to the Clorination canister. I will check my installation manual for your configuration. The freshwater selodoind draws very little current I fused it with a 3amp fuse. I hope to check back sooner with a more definative answer. I think you want H1 not H2 for the freshwater solinoid.

Sorry I was wrong in your case hook the ground from the freshwater selinoid to H2 and the freshwater valve/selinoid through a 3amp fuse to a constant 12 volts.

The manual switch from Raritan is red to S4, Orange to S2, S3 gives you a positive out, S5 is the aux switch, H1 is the negative 12 volts to head #1, L2 is the white wire to the switch panel, M2 is the 12 volt positive to the mixer motor, L1 is the green wire to all switch panels, M1+ is to the Macerator motor or feed pump to the PuraSan, S1 is the red to switch panel S and +IN is the battery positive.
I hope I haven't totally confused you. If so I apologize. The large + and - studs are 12 positive and 12 volts negative when ever the PuraSan's breaker is turned on in standby or activated.

I have the 3 amp fuse inline. I don't have the manual with me now, still at the boat, but I checked online and page 14 notes S2 and S6. Not sure if the Purasan and Hold-N_treat or the same or not in respect to the water selonoid. The switch I understood Vic said wouldn't be needed is the CDS switch not CVS. I do NOT have the CDS installed. While looking at the pdf online the dual installation picture order of S numbers doesn't look like it's in the same order as my Pursan. Maybe I hooked to the wrong S number. I'll check tomorrow.
The fresh water seloniod calls for H1. The S2 and S6 is the line from each heads push button switch that activates the toilet to the control board.

Billy did you use the CDS switch or does your setup NOT call for one?

I have one line from the push button head switch to the control board.
 
I just check the manual and S1 is the negative when either head is flushed it should run almost if not the same time the PuraSan is being fed. One important and often overlook installation procedure. Make sure you open the center cap and fill it with water on the main PuraSan unit. Then replace the cap once full. Pages 7 & 8 cover most of the freshwater canister feed information in the PuraSan manual.

I read from the PuraSan only manual. I have it on hand ask away. My Hold-N-Treat with PuraSan and only one head make our installations different. But I believe the negative trigger from the freshwater seliond is the same. I'm here if you have a question. We are on the boat and it's cold outside very warm in here! I would be glad to help if I can.

The water seloniod opens, the problem is it only stays open as long as the toilet pushbutton is depressed. I was under the impression "something" would keep the water seloniod open 10 secs without having to keep the toilet pushbutton depressed that long.
I'm beginning to wonder if I don't use the switch that came with the unit if I can keep the water soloniod activated without keeping the toilet button depressed.

BTW, come south it was high 60's today, sunny...a nice day on the water. Tomorrow is suppose to more of the same.
 
I have Purasan running raw water intake with a manual head so I won't comment on coupling flush and treatment cycles with the Purasan switch. On my installation operating the manual head fills the tablet dispenser and the Purasan switch only actuates the treatment cycle afterward.

Just a tip for bobn: during your set-up make sure to run plenty of tests with an empty tablet dispenser. You don't want to accidentally fill the tablet dispenser higher than the fill mark with the tablet cartridge inside. Make sure everything works perfectly first before you load the disinfectant cartridge.
 
Yzer is on the money follow his comments it is more about the level than the timing. The manual clip controls the metered flow into the sanitizer canister.

Sorry guys, I've been out of town since Thanksgiving. The canister on the Purasan doesn't "fill"; the incoming water should only go up to the dotted line at the botttom of the canister or maybe a little higher.
 
I was talking about the center plug on the PuraSan not the tablet dispenser Vic. I should have said the blue square plug that unscrews between the 2 motors on the PuraSan not the tablet dispenser. duh!

Sorry to take so long to reply with the end result.

Maybe I wasn't clear on the problem....the water selenoid wasn't staying open 10 secs to fill the canister to the correct level.
I call Raritan and spoke with Jerry who was extremely helpful and he send me a new board. After swapping the board the selenoid works for the full 10 secs. Since I have two heads hooked to the PursSan I had several different questions which took a couple of phone calls. Each time I've called Raritan they have taken the time to fully explain every answer without rushing through. Each time they told me they would check on something and call me back, they called everytime the same day. Raritans customer support is second to none, Vic went so far as to check with his engineering department on one of my questions and called me back with an answer in an hour or so, you can't beat service like this.
 
They have been great with me as well. I think I bought one of their 1st production Elegances. Hooking that, the Hold-N-Treat and Pura-San all at once. I also had numerous questions all of which were resolved within minutes of phone calls.
