Vic it seems like my pump doesn't run long enough using the HNT I now the LectraSan has an adjustment but none that is visible? I replaced the Macerater pump and hoses but still had the problem before I hauled out last year. Since I needed to get the pump running long enough I installed a temporary push button grounding the relay so I could control the pump run time manually. I have had the unit for 2 years and never had problems. Just a bit more information I made sure the vent hose and filter were clear it seems like the macerater only runs for about 10 seconds.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Bill

10 seconds sounds about right, I think.

It worked well for the 1st season. However I think the PuraSan unit is mounted too high and I might be getting siphoning back through the macerator into the waste tank. What I don't understand is why it worked fine for the 1st season and 1/2 of the 2nd season? Like I said I just replaced all my hoses from the tank to the Y valve to the transfer macerater. I haven't changed the hose to the discharge which is below the water perhaps I have an obstruction at the through hull or in the discharge hose? I know when it is working properly because I can hear the discharge against the hull. This is why I have had to as a temporary measure install the wire from the relay to the transfer pump (macerator) (which I hold to enable the pump relay) then I hear the discharge (a bubbling water movement sound).

This sounds very similar to something that I went through last season. It started with a clogged feed line from the treatment cartridge. Moved on to a missing check valve I never had on the vent-side of the cartridge. Then I pulled the discharge hose thinking that was clogged. In the end, after checking all these things and adding the missing check-valve, the macerator pump went. Once I got that changed, everything has been fine.

Check that thru-hull and discharge hose while she's out of the water, Bill.

Bill, 10 seconds is the correct time - there's no adjustment, it's burned into the chip on the Purasan control board. But it should be plenty long enough, its only supposed to move a maximum of 1.5 gallons at a time...

Does anyone have the part number for the relay that turns on the transfer pump (macerator) for the H-N-T?
Bill

You might want to e-mail Vic directly on that one.
