As work progresses on my refit project I'm approaching the black water systems. The plan is fresh water heads (2) to a Type III (tank) and then to a Type I MSD since this is how my current boat is set up and it works well. My question is that while my 2002 boat still has its original generic waste hoses with no permeated smells (we pump plenty of fresh water through the sytem) should I put PVC in the refit project boat or stick with a quality flexible hose such as Raritan's Sani/Flex?

Somebody just asked a similar question on another forum, and Peggie's answer ended up being Trident 101 for best performance and cost unless flexibility is a specific issue.

I would say if you have areas where you know you won't have any movement or vibration issues, I would go with PVC. I recently changed out all my waste hose from my toilet to the LectraSan and to the thru-hull with the new Raritan flex hose and that stuff was a breeze to work with although a little pricey.
