Hi Paul & Jackie,
As far as I can remember you put some pics about a year ago on the "old Regal forum" about your nice solution for the dingy/tender on your extended swimplatform. I am looking here in the Netherlands/Europe to find something you did. But without results. Can you give me the name of the brand and/or dealer? And hopefully you can put some pics again on this site.
I have a 2004 2665 with extended platform and would like to have a small tender (2mtr - 2.2 mtr). Is it possible to park the boat backwards into the slip?
Your help is highly appriciated!
Kind regards,
Theo.

Hi Theo,
The name of the system is "Tend'r Rollers" and its made by Seaweed Marine, located here in Canada. The website is www.seaweedmarine.com (Rommer, I'm not sure if the rules bar all links or just those to other forums - if the former, send me an e-mail and I'll remove).

I think its a great system, the best I've seen anywhere for my application. Note that I am not associated with Seaweed in anyway other than being a satisfied customer. The key application is for a RIB (Rigid hull inflatable boat). I don't think it would be the best solution if your dingy is a pure inflatable.

The following is a series of random pictures of the system with and without the dingy on board. I do back into my slip always and the system doesn't interfere with docking at my slip. You'll need a couple of more feet of slip though.

Here's a shot of two 4260's side-by-side. Mine has the Seaweed system holding a RIB and the one to the right without a dingy.

Here's a couple of shots without the dingy on board.

And here's a shot on plane with the dingy on the back.

Hope this helps. First you need to decide on the size of dingy and determine how much weight you want to have on board. The Tend'r Rollers do add about 75 lbs (~30kgs) on the back of your boat, then plus the dingy and anything else you'll have in the dingy (e.g., fuel).

If you've got any additional questions, let me know and I'll do my best to respond.

Paul

Hi Paul and Jackie,
Many thanks for your quick reply en pics. You mentioned an important issue: the weight. I will check the dealer, and what they deliver more. I also could compare is your platform with my 2665. We have 2, the normal and the extended and the depth of both are more or less the same. And ofcourse the with of the 2665 is a big difference with yours. My idea is that I must be able to "walk around" because of the ropes etc. especialy in a lock and so on. I was thinking about an inflatable with a small outboard of 5HP. This is only for play around and to get on shore when anchoring. Now I saw your pics and info I am thinking about a self made "system" from wood (because of cost and weight).
Anyway, many thanks for your info and I will let you know.
Kind regards.
Theo.
