This is my first day back on BoaderEd since the storm. I am so sorry to read and hear about some of my fellow RO's, friends and acquaintances boat damage. What was even worse, was hearing about some people losing their house, belongings or both. This has surly been an unprecedented storm for this area.
Radio Waves was hauled, but did not fare well and was pushed into the water by a large Egg Harbor. It floated across the canal (maybe partially submerged) to Peninsular Blvd, around boats, past a travel lift then on to the side of Steve Finonchio's pool. Some may know him; he has the boat Spanish Princess. He took it well, but now comes the issue on how to retrieve it.
Where it is sitting looks like it fell from the sky because of all the objects behind the boat, like a boat lift, a few slips, floating docks and a private beach. We may need to have the lift taken apart and then a barge may be able to get close enough. I have Traveler insurance and filed a claim, but have not spoken with an actual adjuster as they are inundated with claims. My Marina owner will help with arrangements, but not until I get insurance approvals.
Does anyone know people that does kind of specialty salvage ?
