We came up to the boat yesterday afternoon and went across the river for dinner to the old "Hudson Bistro" at Viking. It is now "Ralph & Daves. The food was outstanding, the have an eclectic drink menu, and the service was excellent. We ate outside on the patio and it reminded us of Block Island. It's not cheap, but it is worth every penny.

You should become the official BoaterEd food critic. You can post pics, etc.....

Think of all the free drinks you would be getting if they knew who you were.

True! We spoke to the owners and I told them I would post here so other boaters would learn about this gem.

Yes, they are great cooks and good people. Casey is the bartender, she is daughter of fellow CYC member. She makes a mean Sangria.
You can tell them Chris Walsh said hi but I'm not sure they know me by name, by face and belly, definitely, lol.

First time, I tried steak and it was great. Last time I went I had grilled shrimp and it was amazing. Guy next to me had Chilean Sea Bass and I can still remember it, I regret not ordering that.
If you follow them on facebook, you'll know when they get fresh fish deliveries and what's hot.

I've been there several times already and will go back as much as I can when on boat. They are both Croton guys and started at The Tavern which is also a great destination but more of a beer/burger pub place. Dock your small boat at CYC guest docks (north of building) and walk over bridge, down ramp and 50 yards on the right is the "Tavern at Croton Landing" and "The Ocean House". Please tell them you came by boat and are at CYC, we need community points.

Just follow the channel in. They have a big dock for the restaurant to your starboard as soon as you get in past the seawall. It is the "T" dock with the American flags. The have some big tug boats in there, so water should not be a problem.

When you walk down the dock, turn left at the end and follow the path to the restaurant.
