Raritan Crown head issues

OK, 2 things...I'm 99% sure no AC units have condensate go out with the cooling water. Take a good long look at your AC unit and figure it out.
Also, you need to spend time in the bilge and find the pump that pumps out the shower. It HAS to be accessible. There should be a small plastic sump container that the shower drains into. Depending on the type of pump you have, it could either be inside that box, or just outside of it.
If you have trouble finding it, turn it on and follow the sound. You will find it and if there is a sump box, I'm betting it will be nasty.

I strongly suggest you weigh the re-build of the Crown vs buying a new head, and suggest you go with the Raritan Elegance

The only problem the OP has with the head is that it slowly fills back up. The Crown is a good unit. Why replace it when most likely, a re build kit will take care of the only problem he is having with it?

Problem Solved!

While our head may not be workig 100%, it was NOT the cause of the odors. The odors were apparently just old, stagnant bilge water odors. I did a few treatments with Bilge Bully and we are fine now. Thank you all for all your suggestions and comments...this site is awesome!

Glad you found the problem. I always thought it was a bilge problem and not the head.
OK, have you figured out how your shower drains? You say it pumps out, but does it drain straight into a hose or into a sump box? I used to have a Carver with 2 showers and each had a sump box. Turn on your pump and follow the sound. You will find it even though Carver is very creative in hiding things and even hiding access ports.
I'm willing to bet good money your AC condensate does not drain with your cooling water. It either goes into the bilge or a sump box. My money is on a sump box.
As a new boat owner, you need to find out exactly how all your systems work and that means getting a good flashlight and sticking your head into every opening you can find and again, Carver even hides access ports in places you don't even think about.
