My 2002 Raritan Icer-ette model 85 has been dripping water out of or under the tray at each fill cycle. I have reduced the water level screw, and checked the placement of the fill tube, and it still drips much water into the bucket, resulting in one large frozen cube after a few cycles.

My limited research and investigation has found that the ice mold tray has deteriorated so that the original non-stick (teflon?) coating is useless. Now the unit has to heat the frozen cubes longer to get them to release, before it can eject them.

My question: Can the ice maker assembly be replaced without removing the refrigerant first? The Raritan site says to evacuate all the refrigerant first. The instructions I have found don't say anything about disconnecting or reconnecting any freon lines. There are three torx screws on the bottom of the unit. It looks like this would release the entire assembly, to swap out a replacement.
