I'd like to have my "new" boat fully detailed so I'm starting off clean & waxed beyond the "make it look nice for the sale" condition. Any recommendations for a detailer in the West/Central Delta area? I'll be berthing her in either Pittsburg or the Antioch Bridge area for a while ... close by while I do all the fix-up stuff I want to do.

Many thanks,

My boat is on Bethel Island. I have had the same detailer for about 5 years and am very pleased with the quality of her work. Her time management skills need to be improved, but if you work with her with a positive attitude, she does much better. She is willing to travel to various jobsites. Call Penny at 925-684-0741. Tell her Liz referred you!

i used to berth at new bridge marina, and i used fisher enterprises
and his crews are really good. bart fisher is the owner, a really nice person to deal with.the people in the harbor office can put you in touch with him. good luck. roy hope

Great ... Thanks for the referrals. I'll check'em out.

I'm looking forward to chatting more with "locals" on this board once I actually welcome my mutant 3607 into the family. [:-hspin]

You could also use John Curry with Stem to Stern. I is a great guy and will make sure you are happy with any services he provides. I don't have his number handy but if you search Stem to Stern Alameda you will find his web site.

Thanks for the suggestion, Kris. John is my choice for my training but I hadn't thought of him for this. My insurance compay likes him too. As a newbie, they rightfully & thankfully won't let me go solo until he signs off that I am OK

I went through the same training with him and he was great. He is full service and can arrange for pretty much any needs you have. Hope you are enjoying your new boat.

Steve Hallorman in West Sacramento. When our 1987 Tolly 44 had spent 4+ years in Mexico and Alameda, they charged $1500 to take it down to gel coat, even remove the SS rails and wax under them, isenglass, flybridge, pulled the carpets off the flybridge and sun deck, and more...it looked brand new. I almost passed out when he said $1500, but his crew was on our boat 3.5 days. I know because I was there. Oh yeah, they did the dinghy too.

He is doing our boat again, I don't want to screw the buyer. It is in much better shape now than 2002, but it will look like new...or he will come back again. Our boat is in WB and I am guessing he sort of has a "route" in Sacramento, the delta, Stockton, etc.

I have had others detail it and was not as happy. For what it is worth, if anyone remembers when the Kings won basketball games, C-Webb had a big Sea Ray. Steve did it for him. And some other nice boats. He has been a "Class Guy" with us. I have his number if you want it.
