As anyone with a 2400 or 2450 knows, the anchor locker in the bow is quite cramped. And in fairness to Regal, I think they call it a storage area for the rode, not an anchor locker. Still, I was hoping to find a small anchor that could fit in there and be used as a lunch hook. I already have a larger anchor that I keep in the wakeboard locker for times when I need it (which, during day trips on an inland lake, will be rare indeed).

Well, for anyone else who is interested, I found that the Guardian G-7 model juuuust fits. Its shank length is 22", which is about the exact depth of the locker; you do have to make sure the rode and chain are off to 1 side, otherwise they'll prevent the shank from going all the way down into the locker. The stock length is 18" -- a perfect size for fitting in the grooves on either side of the locker opening. By my measurement, the grooves will accommodate a stock length between 17 and 19".

The anchor holds just fine in our typical 5-10 mph winds and light chop. No more dragging a wet anchor through the cockpit when we stop for lunch! And it's quite light :)
