Won't post the history but suffice to say that i blew my starboard side 350cid. The replacement options were a new crusader block which gives me about an additional 40hp with 1 year parts warantee or a Jasper Reman with a 2 year Parts and Labor Warrantee. From what I understand, the only thing that is actually reused on these particuar remans is the crank. Everything else is brand new. My mechanic has been using them for 5 years exclusivley and says they've had absolutley no issues. A broker friend who has them put in a few boats a year said the same.

This is a multi $$ job so I'm trying to save any cash possible. If I were doing both engines I'd go brand new on both but my other 1984 350CID is still chuggin and only has 800 hours on her. I can save close to 1000 dollars if I go Jasper. Pretty sure that's how I'm going but wanted some insight.

Again, Port side is solid and will get all new exhaust and checkup during this whole thing.

Anyone got experience with this?
