This is my first post here, and I'm a new boat owner in need of some help. I purchased a used 1988 Searay Seville, and I need to change the throttle cable, and shift cable(not sure if it has both, but there are two cables coming from the controls.) The problem is that I can't get the throttle lever to separate from the control assembly. I removed the throttle only button and the allen screw at the bottom of the lever, but it is still stuck. I tried pulling on the piece that was covered by the throttle only button but it won't come off. Please help me remove my throttle lever so I can use my boat this weekend!!
