I know I need new cutlass bearings and I know if I knew how I could do it myself and save a lot of money and work on my schedule. I looked through all the mechanical how-to topics and nothing seems close.
I have a SR 330 w/Hurth v-drives and 1.25' shafts. I can figure out how to select or just order from searay the right bearings. My questions come around the technique for removing the shafts from the boat, I have dripless seals, and then the props from the shafts w/o damaging the shafts or the props so that I can get them reconditioned.
I know it is a lot to comment on so if someone could guide me to a location where I can read up on it that would be great.
