I need to replace the fuel deck fill on my Carver aftcabin, both port and starboard. Now I know that the fill lines will be very tight to the original fill fitting. The fittings are chrome plated and pitted very badly on the exterior. I do not want to replace the filler hose as part of this project. Is there a way to loosen the grip on the hose to the fitting without cutting it off?
I have not started this yet I am still in the planning stages. To access the starboard fitting I must remove the electrical panel. So I want to have everything planned as well as possible.
