Rhinecliff Station Pick-Up Dock

Has anyone used the Rhinecliff Station dock for pick-up? If so, anything to be aware of? Are there cleats on the dock, is the water particularly turbulent there, etc?

Also, any other train stations in the area have river-side pick-up points?

I have never been in the ramp except by dink. It can be choppy if the wind is out of the south. Once inside I think chop is about the worst of it. Not sure about cleats and the like it's been a while since we went by.

Update: There are cleats available but I don't think going in with a 50 footer is advisable. It looks like it should handle a 30 footer ok. There is a dock just outside the ramp and another at the foot of the ramp. If you use google map/satelite with rhinecliff as a search argument and zoom in all the way you will see the dock at the foot of the ramp. The "outside ramp" is located off the small building.
 
Thanks Dan. I went over there yesterday but could only spot one cleat at the southern end of the dock. There's got to be others.

Someone was trying to launch a sailboat off a trailer Sunday -- the water was pretty choppy and he was struggling with his lines. But he got her in.

Picking-up riverside might be a fun option for those coming to visit.
 
Bill we passed through it the other day and I think the cleats are either pop up or fold down style. That's why you only saw one on that dock (like us).
 
We once shocked the Hell out of everybody by pulling into Riverfront Green in Peekskill during a big festival to pick up a friend. She got a kick out of it, but I was pretty damn nervous. The reason? It was low tide and I swear we dug a trench the last 50 feet or so. But we picked her up and rode off into the sunset, leaving a few thousand jealous people back on the shore. It was fun...
 
Seems like there are plenty of cleats for those interested. Saw a 36+ footer docked yesterday -- bouncing around in the chop, but docked. Counted more than six cleats. Bring extra fenders!
